How do you encourage people to volunteer during the pandemic?

I got contacted by local nonprofit to improve the volunteers numbers as they been falling while the pandemic started. People felt uncomfortable going to public space. What can we do to increase the number of volunteers.

By highlighting the benefit of learning something new and option to volunteer online.

My role:

I spend a week in 2020 as UI/UX designer, concentrated on the research, testing and created a new branding. While interviewing, found a pain points (time limit, convenience) as well as new benefit for volunteers to learn something new and spend time with their family and friends.

Problem

During the pandemic people feel stressed and depressed. Majority reached out to family and found new hobbies. What if you can bring benefit to others, while changing the way you are feeling to the better?

Approach

Find benefit for volunteers. Loving spend time outdoors or in front of computer? Us to, we want to make sure you are doing what you are enjoying, maybe even learning something new or adding new skills to your resume.
