Reality Labs, originally Oculus VR, is a business and research unit of Meta Platforms (formerly Facebook Inc.) that produces virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) hardware and software, including virtual reality headsets such as Quest, and online platforms such as Horizon Worlds.
Metaverse is the next evolution in social connection and the successor to the mobile internet. Defined as spatial computing platform that provides alternative experiences to the real world. It helps you to connect with people when you aren't physically in the same place and get you even closer to that feeling of being together in person.
In the metaverse, users can interact with a computer-generated environment and other users. It is made up of persistent, shared, 3D virtual spaces linked into a perceived virtual universe. Activities in the metaverse can mirror those in the real world, such as attending concerts, conferences, socializing with friends, working, trading, and gaming, but in a digital context that allows for experiences beyond the physical limitations of reality.
